After all, we are all trying to do our small part

About our Project:

As a developing country, Indonesia's education system is highly fragmented and very underfunded. This results in weak infrastructure and unequal access. Being raised in Jakarta, we have witnessed the unfair gap between public and private education. However, COVID-19 has raised an alarming issue. Many kids in Jakarta do not have the necessary tools to learn from home. Therefore, we hope to better equip them!

Our project focuses on donating books, notebooks, whiteboards and other learning tools to orphanages across Jakarta. Education is essential and we will not let anything disrupt their education.

Moreover, we will also be renovating/building small libraries. We believe that it is SO important to have a clean and sufficient environment to learn in.

Every girl deserves

to be well

equipped

with education

We also want to emphasize their potential! These kids, especially with the Indonesian spirit within us, are fighters! They have so much hope and so much potential! We try to highlight this by sharing their stories through interviews discussing their dreams. Because after all, we are all dreamers!

Moreover, this is not just a one time thing! Yes, COVID-19 may affect schools in Jakarta until December. But, we aim to create a sustainable project that will last years after Jakarta recovers because even without a health crisis, the education system is very flawed and we hope to work towards a better future.

Lastly, we just want to say hey :) We hope that the impact we make, no matter how small, can lead to better future change!
